Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore coming up with a fourth tower

Marina Bay Sands (MBS), the iconic resort in Singapore is soon expanding by adding a forth tower. This new tower is planned to be built next to the majestic three towers present currently, along with a Skypark at the top.

Architect Moshe Safdie of Safdie Architects who structured Marina Bay Sands before, will be again handling this project. The project includes adding 1,000 suites, a sky roof and swimming pool and a music arena with 15,000 seats in the tower.

The unique MBS resort is Singapore’s most iconic landmark today. It is also the world’s most costliest standalone casino property at S$8 billion which consists of 500 tables and 1,600 slot machines. MBS has the world’s longest elevated swimming pool which is at the SkyPark top of the structure at a height of 191 metres. The elevated swimming pool has 146 metre long infinity edge which looks invisible.

Marina bay Sands resort opened in 2011, features the Art Science Museum that has a sustainability feature with its distinctive lotus flower shape and also the Convention Centre can accommodate up to 45,000 people.

The project timeline of this planned new mega structure is yet to be announced. About $4.5 billion will be spent by MBS on the expansion and eight acres of state land will be used for this project.
