The Gym and Indoor games area designed for Rustomjee Elements, the residential apartments in Andheri West, Mumbai, has an unique and top of the line design in order to cater the needs of the elite residents. This workout and activity area is developed by creating an opulent design that simultaneously delivers functionality.

The spaces are finished in concrete, metal, natural wood and bold colors, giving the Gym and Indoor Games area an ‘Industrial Chic’ look. An important feature of the Gym and Indoor Games is the juxtaposition of exposed concrete textured wall surfaces with bright colored elements like the flooring, lockers, staircase and furniture.

A hanging slab of concrete acts as the Gym’s reception table; it is a simple and understated representation of the fundamental materials that are incorporated in the construction of a building. The colorful elements and the suspended ceiling lights in the Gym and Aerial Yoga spaces, add a much-desired vibrancy and dynamism to the space, while the gray concrete texture provides a neutral and accentuating background.

Metal elements which can be spotted in the staircase, railings and the entrance portal, also add to the Industrial style character of the interior. Motivational graphics pop up on the mirrors in the main workout area, creating more interest and interactivity within the space.

In the Indoor games zone, bright colors make a re-appearance with elements such as a blue and green staircase, the orange sofa with adjacent blue floor lamps, and colorful graphical artwork on the walls. By incorporating this artwork depicting various outdoor sports, residents are motivated to push themselves to the next level. Thus, the overall ambiance created is energetic, dynamic, fun and inspirational.

Natural elements like plants, 3D Printed birds and warm lights are added to the Pilates area, which collectively connects the space with nature, enhancing the experience of mind, body and soul.
