Rajnish Wattas, former principal of the Chandigarh College of Architecture is an author, architectural critic and heritage expert with hundreds of professional papers/articles published in technical journals. In addition, he has published nearly 500 general essays, travelogues and features on diverse topics in leading newspapers and magazines. He has co-authored two books Trees of Chandigarh and Sukhna: Sublime Lake of Chandigarh and co-edited LE REDICOVERD: Chandigarh and Beyond. He has lectured widely at prestigious forums including Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, American Institute of Architecture NYC, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and at the Academy of Architecture, Mendrisio, Switzerland. A member of the ‘Chandigarh Heritage Conservation Committee’ he is also member of various other expert groups and founder-president of ‘Chandigarh Tree Lovers’ group.
